What Do We Do With Your Gifts?

Since 1824, individuals have followed the lead of Benjamin Franklin and thoughtfully provided for the future of The Franklin Institute in their estate plans.

Deferred gifts are wonderful testaments by individuals who have made it their mission to improve the lives of others for generations to come—most specifically, visitors to The Franklin Institute. These testamentary gifts are critical to the growth of the Institute’s endowment. Income from the endowment contributes significantly to help offset the costs associated with the Student Access program, which provides opportunities for children in underserved schools to visit The Franklin Institute at a significantly reduced fee or at no charge at all.

In addition, it relieves expenses associated with maintaining highly regarded Institute education programs—such as the Traveling Science Show and Partnership for Achieving Careers in Technology and Science (PACTS). Charitable support through deferred gifts also ensures The Franklin Institute’s landmark building remains in excellent condition.
